A day in Zeytin's life.

She lent us her diary. The times are hers, the screens are from Ece's phone.

Wednesday, 11 November

  1. No second breakfast

Breakfast is served. Ece marked it “given” on her phone, which means no second breakfast.

    On screen: meal tracking

Home screen: Morning, Ece. Combo vaccine tomorrow, breakfast given at 08:00, evening meal at 19:00.

  2. Nobody asked me

The phone said “combo vaccine tomorrow”. Ece booked 10:30 tomorrow at Çınar Vet. Nobody asked me.

    On screen: vet appointments

Çınar Vet Clinic booking screen: combo vaccine for Zeytin, Thursday 12 November at 10:30 selected.

  3. Treats in the basket

Ece put lamb treats in the basket and they arrive today. No idea what I did to earn them. I'm not asking.

    On screen: pet shop

Pet shop screen: delivery today from Neighbourhood Pet Shop, chicken free cat food and lamb treats in the cart.

  4. Window duty

A ginger tabby called Tarçın has been missing in Moda since last night. Ece got an alert, so I'm watching the street from the window.

    On screen: lost pet alert

Lost pet post: Tarçın, ginger tabby, last seen yesterday at 19:40 around Moda. The map shows an approximate area and the alert went out within 25 km.

  5. The lily business

I had a tiny taste of a lily leaf from the vase. Ece asked Buddy, read the answer and grabbed her coat.

    On screen: Buddy assistant

Buddy chat: “My cat chewed a lily leaf, what do I do?” gets a “This could be urgent” warning and the nearest vets.

  6. I object to the carrier

The pet taxi was at the door in 4 minutes. At Çınar they said “good thing you came straight away”. I still object to the carrier.

    On screen: pet taxi

Pet taxi screen: from Moda to Çınar Vet Clinic, car 4 min away, Zeytin riding.

  7. One cat is enough

Before bed Ece is looking at pets who need a home. There's one called Simit. One cat is plenty in this house, I'm putting it in writing.

    On screen: free adoption

Looking for a home: Simit, Paşa, Sütlaç and Fındık. No sales, every adoption here is free.

PS: Vaccine tomorrow at 10:30. Is the top of the wardrobe still free?

Z.
